Today, May 8, 2002, I got an interesting e-mail from a man in Hughes Springs, Texas. He had found some stones, stones not bricks, which bear the name Laclede Christy and the numbers 120-138. He wrote to ask about them, but I have never heard that Laclede Christy also dealt in stones.

Does anyone know anything about such stones? Needless to say I did ask the man about getting one stone for my own collection. I didn't have enough nerve to ask for two so that the Dogtown Historical Society could have one too!
