KIDS

By: Julie Duane

No one else can make you gladder

No one else can make you sadder

No one else can make you madder

          Than your kids

First they fret and cry and throw up

Till you wonder if they'll grow up

Then you wish that time would slow up

          For your kids

Then they marry and they leave

But there's no cause for you to grieve

For it's just a short reprieve

          From your kids

Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall

When they need anything at all --

You will surely get a call

          From your kids
