The original French language version of the recent AFP report on UN special
rapporteur Louis Joinet's declarations about human rights in Haiti has a final
paragraph which is missing from the English version (see post: #17177) . Here
is my translation of this missing paragraph:

"He (Joinet) however judged as "positive" the recent creation by the national
police force of a child protection office with the assistance of UNICEF, and
the good response to AIDS in this country thanks to a committee chaired by
Mildred Aristide, the wife of the Head of the State."
