24438: Morse (reply)to Kondrat (fwd)

From: OLOFFSONRAM@aol.com

Dear Mr Kondrat,

To say you won an election doesn't provide you with the right to
arbitrarily run a country according to your particular fancy, killing
people at will, kidnapping people at will, repressing the people's right
to assembly, repressing freedom of speech and attacking radio stations.
Aristide probably should have let Apaid and Evans Paul have their little
assemblies which when provoked became more than he could handle. These
events provided an opportunity to the former army and FRAPH to get back
in the game. If Aristide wants to call himself <president> while he's in
South Africa that's his business. I'm more concerned with his
constituency whose needs he failed to address and yet must be addressed.
Jobs, schooling, health care, drinking water, security, decent living
 conditions......
