FUGEES AND SMITHS START BET AWARDS WITH A BANG

The Fugees stunned the Bet Awards in Hollywood last night (28JUN05) when the 
trio reformed to open the show with a 12-minute hits medley.

The group was rumoured to reunite for the prizegiving, but nothing was 
confirmed before the show.

Reclusive Lauryn Hill appeared dressed like a 1960s Diana Ross with a cropped 
and bobbed hairstyle, while Haitian bandmate Wyclef Jean got political with a 
vest that featured the logo 'Stop the violence in Haiti'.

Jean further thrilled the audience at the Kodak Theater when he left the stage 
to dance with the crowd during a rendition of the group's smash-hit Ready Or 
Not.

The hip-hop star said, "If you want another Fugees album let me see your hands 
in the air right now."
