25892: anon (reply) non-violent lavalas fighters? (fwd)

anon please:

**************
Where were the Lavalas fighters in February 2004?
Everyone in Haiti saw them hijacking cars and burning
them in the streets,
setting up barricades and robbing passengers in cars,
roaming all over greater Port au Prince with
automatic rifles sticking out the windows of their
stolen cars, burning banks and gas stations and
looting CAMtransfer, looting the port, etc.

Guy Phillips band of whatever did hardly any fighting
at all because there was no need.
All the towns welcomed them as liberators from a
regime of thieves. Why didn't the armed bands of
Lavalas
go out to fight to defend the revolution populaire?
They preferred rape and pillage, just as they do now.

I have to conclude that Sergio Ioni has never been to
Haiti. Burning cars for barricades had been the
favorite tactic of Aristides militants for the
previous 10 years. Many times tap taps were destroyed
because they
dared to work on strike days called by the peaceful
community activists.

It is difficult to see how the brilliant strategists
of Fanmi Lavalas hope to gain from this reign of
chaos,
but they have openly been proclaiming their intent to
cut off heads and burn houses for the past year and a
bit.
It just took them 6 months to recover from the shock
of Aristides cowardly desertion of them on Feb 29,
2004.
He did promise to fight to the death, oh you of short
memory.

What do they want? (as opposed to what do they hope to
gain) They want to make people regret being happy at
the
departure of Jean Bertrand Aristide. Many people
regret many things now. Mostly they regret that the
Americans didn't let
the chimeres and the ancien arme fight it out to the
final conclusion.

Oh, the body of Me Roche was found on Delmas 4, where
no one but chimeres or their employees (or paymasters)

goes without an armored car.

/How did we come to the conclusion that the death of
this journalist is the
/work of extremist from the Lavalas camp? Aren't we
giving too much credit to
/Lavalas? Lavalas is not and has never been a party
of violence. It is more
/conceivable that this journalist was tortured and
killed by the Latortue
/regime so it can in turn blame it on Lavalas.
Lavalas has nothing to gain
/through such crimes. Where were those fighters in
the Lavalas Camp when Guy
/philip and his handfull of criminals were killing
innocent people in the outskirt
/of haiti? Why didn't they fight then?
