From: Hugues St. Fort Hugo274@aol.com

To my knowledge, there have been 3 reviews of Kattie Klarreich's book on
Haiti:"Madame Dread. A Tale of Love, Vodou and Civil Strife in Haiti". Two are
in
English and one is in French. The English reviews were written by Jacqueline
Charles, a Miami Herald staff writer and by Hyppolite Pierre, who writes very
often on the Corbett list. The French review was written by Hugues St.Fort who
writes a regular literary and cultural column on the Haitian weekly, The
Haitian Times.
Jacqueline Charles' article has been reproduced on
FocusonHaiti@researchonline.net # 26550, date: 11/7/2005 by Leonie Hermantin;
Hugues St.Fort's article,
entitled "Haiti: Vodou, Amour, Violence" appeared on Haitian Times, vol.7, #
43, Oct.26-Nov.1, 2005, p.2. Unfortunately, I can't find Hyppolite Pierre's
article that was posted either on Corbett or on FocusonHaiti . That was in
November.
As for Michael Deibert's book, I hope I will be able to finish reading it by
the middle of this month and write my review for Haitian Times before the end
of the year.
