#5157: Travel with BRA on 10-day medical relief mission in the Dominican Republic's bateyes (fwd)

News from the Batey Relief Alliance (BRA)

BRA is sponsoring a medical relief mission in the bateyes of Monte Plata,
Dominican Republic, from June 8th through June 17th, 2001.

Volunteer pediatricians, internists, optometrists and dentists are
needed to provide free medical assistance and preventive health education to
the indigent population, including Haitian migrant
workers and families, in the areas of general medicines, pediatrics,
optometry and dental.  BRA will also donate free vitamin, medicine and eye
care products, condoms, prescription eye glasses and sunglasses to complete
patients' short-term treatment.

Please apply by mailing a copy of your resume and professional lisence to
our NY address.  BRA will help provide free ground transportation and
complete breakfasts - tax-exempt credit to all participants covering their
costs of air travel and lodging.
