In the writings of René Depestre, especially in Le Mat de Cocagne, there is
an alcohol that plays a dominant role in the constitution of the main
character Henri Postel, a somewhat deranged ex-senator, whose physical
capacities are limited by the use of this particular drink, called TAFIA.
Does anybody know what that is?
