Getting away with murder? (Haiti)
(October 23) Investigations into last year's murder of Jean Dominique,
Haiti's most prominent journalist, are growing more controversial as one of
the main suspects, Sen. Dany Toussaint, dodges prosecution with claims of
parliamentary immunity.
Toussaint, a former major in the Haitian army, claims he cannot be
questioned in Dominique's April 3, 2000, slaying because, as a member of
Parliament, he is protected from investigation.
