a1897: RE: a1894: Re: a1834: BBC: Haiti: Peasant leader urgesnational mobilization against Lavalas government (fwd)

From: Edy Sanon <esanon@gate.net>

Why shouldn't we exercise a degree of tolerance whether we are pro or con
Lavalas to simply give a Haiti a chance to catch up 200 years of
self-determination that completely fails. That self-determination is failed
simply because of intolerance. It is so happened for about 200 years, we
have not been able to depolarize with tolerance.
It must be recognized that the leader of MPP has been part the political
kitchen of Mr. Aristide, the current president of Haiti. I must also be
recognized that they disagreed on how to share corrupted, international
donors, and taxpayers dollars, but not ideology.
If we, as a nation, knew how to be tolerant, they would have known to sourly
disagree in the kitchen but not in public as it is done in most "country
fathers of democracy".
I do find it ludicrous for kevin pina to deliberately make statements that
truly feed "INTOLERANCE".
I think that Haitian Academia from around the world should come up with a
full-swing conference, workshop, seminar, or whatever you want to call it,
with the theme "TOLERANS, PREMYE PA POU Fè DEMOKRASI KòMANSE MACHE".
