Subject: 15 hills of Port-au-Prince

Sun, 22 Oct 1995

I am currently reading the novel DINING WITH THE DICTATOR by Dany Laferriere (review coming soon). Early on he makes a claim I've never heard before. Port-au-Prince, he says, is built on 15 hills: Sant-Martin, Sans Fil, Bel Air, Canape Vert, Bourdon, Fort National, Saint-Gerard, Turgeau, Pacot, Morne-a-Turf, Poste-Marchand, Nazon, Bois Verna, Bolosse, and Nelhio.

What do you think of this claim? Is it so? Have you ever heard it before?
