| Comments:
The S2a issue was introduced after National recommended that a fleur-de-lis
(fdl), Scout Sign, or BSA be added to all existing flap designs. The
design
of the S2a is identical to the S1a/b. The only difference is that the
S2a
has a plastic back and a red fdl to the right of the 159. The fdl in
the
S2a is approximately 10x9.5mm. The border around the longhouse and
white
smoke is a light brown. The sky in the S2a can be described as dark
LBL. The correct chronological ordering of the S2 varieties does not correspond to the a,b,c,d,e designations in the Blue Book (they were assigned letters based on discovery). The correct chronological order is S2e, S2a, S2b, S2d, and S2c. |
