 Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Discuss the evolution of nursing research.
  2. Relate the scientific method and nursing theory to nursing research.
  3. Describe the component parts of the research process.
  4. Discuss ethical considerations in research.
  5. Critically evaluate components of the research process in published nursing research.
  6. Discuss nursing research literature on a selected topic.
  7. Evaluate the applicability of research findings for nursing practice.

* Due dates for written work and presentation are identified on the Course Calendar. Unless arranged prior to the due date, late work will not be accepted and will result in a grade of zero for that assignment. Approved extensions will have points deducted based on the number of days past the due date.
Grading Scale:   Plus and minus designations will be assigned.

      A  90-100 points 
      B  80- 89 points 
      C  70- 79 points
      D  60- 69 points
