a1423: Wilson Anacron question (fwd)

From: Nick Nesbitt <nesbitft@muohio.edu>

Dear Corbett Listserve members,
I'm trying to locate the holder of the rights to the painting "Makandal,
the
Rebel Slave with Magic Powers, Jumps Out of the Bonfire," by Wilson
Anacron.
I'm hoping to reproduce the painting in a book on Caribbean Literature I'm
publishing with the University Press of Virginia this fall. Many of you
might
remember the painting from the Sacred Arts of Vodun show a few years back.
The
only clue I have so far is the credit "Afrique en Crations" in the caption
to
the photo (The Fowler Museum doesn't hold the rights), but I have been
unable so
far to reach anyone at this organization in Paris. Has anyone seen the
painting
since the exhibition? Whom I might contact to find out? Thanks for any
help you
might be able to give. My email address is:
